Forty Years of Aroha, Learning and Joyful Discovery: The Story of Kerikeri Kindergarten
Today, we celebrate. Not just the years, but the people, the values, the vision.
November 6, 2025

At Mission Place Kindergarten, kindness, respect, and manaakitanga are at the heart of everything we do.
We provide a safe, nurturing environment where tamariki are supported to build confidence, develop curiosity, and become capable lifelong learners through play and exploration.
What We Offer
We honour Te Tiriti o Waitangi and value the importance of every child feeling secure in their cultural identity.
Through whanaungatanga, we build meaningful relationships with tamariki, whānau, and the wider community, recognising these connections as central to children’s wellbeing and development.
Our programme encourages curiosity, communication, creativity, and deeper thinking through meaningful learning experiences.
We embrace diversity and support tamariki to explore the world around them with confidence and respect for others.
We acknowledge Papatūānuku as an important part of children’s learning and understanding of their role in caring for the environment.
Through exploration and connection with nature, tamariki develop leadership, responsibility, and a sense of belonging within their community and the wider world.
Our kaiako are committed to ongoing learning and reflective practice, continually growing their knowledge to support high-quality early childhood education.
We warmly welcome whānau to come and experience our kindergarten community.
