Forty Years of Aroha, Learning and Joyful Discovery: The Story of Kerikeri Kindergarten
Today, we celebrate. Not just the years, but the people, the values, the vision.

Located in Dargaville, Selwyn Park Kindergarten has long been part of our local community.
We provide an inclusive and whānau-oriented learning environment where tamariki are encouraged to explore, create, and become capable learners through play, creativity, and hands-on activities.
What we offer:
Our vision is to provide an inclusive welcoming whānau orientated learning environment.
Tamariki are encouraged to be independent, confident and capable learners who observe, engage, explore and have agency for their own learning.
Most of all, we believe learning should be fun and meaningful for everyone.
Our programme is planned to meet the interests, strengths and needs of the children’s intellectual, emotional, social and physical development.
Tamariki have the opportunity to learn and play with and alongside other children under the skilled guidance of our five trained and registered teachers, who are supported by a dedicated administrative staff member.
As an Enviroschools kindergarten, tamariki are encouraged to care for Papatūānuku through sustainable practices, natural play experiences, and everyday learning about the environment.
Through these experiences, children develop an understanding of kaitiakitanga and respect for the natural world around them.
Ko te ahurei o te tamaiti arahia ā tātou mahi - Let the uniqueness of the child guide our work.
We welcome all whānau to come and visit and become part of our kindergarten community.
