Forty Years of Aroha, Learning and Joyful Discovery: The Story of Kerikeri Kindergarten
Today, we celebrate. Not just the years, but the people, the values, the vision.

Nestled amongst beautiful native trees on the outskirts of Tikipunga near Whangārei Falls, Forest View Kindergarten is a nature-rich environment where tamariki are encouraged to ask questions, discover and learn.
What We Offer
We believe children are born with a natural sense of wonder and connection to nature.
Surrounded by gardens, herbs, flowers, vegetables, and native trees, tamariki are encouraged to explore the natural world through curiosity, creativity, and hands-on learning.
From searching for insects and dinosaur bones to researching ideas and asking questions, children and kaiako learn alongside one another through shared experiences and discovery.
Through play-based learning, tamariki are supported to become independent learners who build confidence, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
Our outdoor environment offers plenty of opportunities for tamariki to run, climb trees, swing, jump, and develop important movement skills through active play.
Children also express themselves through storytelling, music, dancing, dramatic play, art, and construction, while literacy, language, mathematical, and scientific concepts are woven naturally throughout the programme.
We warmly welcome parents, grandparents, and whānau to share in their child’s learning journey and become part of our kindergarten community.
