We are looking for a teacher who:

  • Is committed to supporting and strengthening a Te Ao Māori learning environment for ākonga
  • Builds and maintains authentic, respectful, and professional relationships with tamariki, whānau, and colleagues
  • Is self-motivated, shows initiative, and works collaboratively as part of a team
  • Communicates effectively with all members of the kindergarten community
  • Brings enthusiasm, warmth, and a sense of fun to their teaching practice

Onerahi Kindergarten is part of a network of 25 kindergartens within the Northland Kindergarten Association (NKA). The kindergarten is supported by professional practice and management teams. NKA adheres to the employment conditions outlined in the Kindergarten Teachers, Head Teachers, and Senior Teachers Collective Agreement 2023–2026.

Applicants must:

Hold a recognised New Zealand ECE qualification (minimum Dip Teaching ECE), hold a current practising certificate and first aid certificate, and be currently residing in NZ and eligible to work in NZ.
