The teaching practice empowers tamariki with choice and agency, enabling them to construct their own learning through meaningful experiences, exploration, and discovery. Hurupaki kindergarten believe that through play and inquiry, children develop and refine their own theories about the world.

A team of 4 kaiako + part-time administrator
Operating five 6-hour sessions, Monday–Friday, 48 weeks per year
Qualifications:
NZ ECE qualification (minimum Dip Teaching ECE)
Current practicing certificate & first aid certificate
2025 ECE graduate’s welcome or currently studying. We provide excellent support for registration and mentoring.
