Head Teacher/Kaiako Matua - Forest View Kindergarten

We are looking for an experienced leader who is skilled in guiding teams through change and fostering a culture of collaboration and growth. You will bring strong communication skills, the ability to inspire and motivate others, and a clear vision for high-quality teaching and learning. Your leadership style will be proactive, supportive, and adaptable - ensuring that kaiako feel empowered and tamariki thrive in an environment of innovation and sustainability.

Forest View Kindergarten operates five 6-hour sessions Monday to Friday, catering for 40 children aged two to six years. It runs an All-Year Model, 48 weeks per year, and is supported by a professional practice and management team within a network of 25 kindergartens.

Requirements

  • Recognised NZ ECE qualification (minimum Dip Teaching ECE)
  • Current practicing certificate
  • Current first aid certificate
  • Current Child Protection certificate
  • Applicants must be currently residing and eligible to work in New Zealand

This position is covered by the Kindergarten Teachers, Head Teachers and Senior Teachers Collective Agreement 2023–2026.
