We are seeking a kaiako who is skilled in creating a warm, welcoming, and calm learning space; communicates openly, honestly, and respectfully; sees potential in every teaching moment; actively upholds Te Tiriti-based practice; and genuinely enjoys working alongside tamariki and whānau.

 About Waitangi Kindergarten:

A welcoming environment where tamariki connect with nature and enjoy natural play opportunities

A team of 4 passionate teachers and apart-time administrator.

Welcomes whānau from across the wider Bay of Islands community, including families from Russell to Kawakawa andsurrounding areas.

Operating five 6-hour sessions, Monday to Friday, with a roll of 30 children aged 2–6 years

All-Year Model: 48 weeks per year

 

As part of a network of 25 kindergartens, Waitangi Kindergarten is supported by NKA’s professional practice andmanagement teams. NKA adheres to the employment conditions outlined in the Kindergarten Teachers’, Head Teachers’ and Senior Teachers’ Collective Agreement 2023–2026.

Applicants must hold a recognised New Zealand ECE qualification (minimum Diploma of Teaching ECE), a current practising certificate, and a current first aid certificate.

All applicants must currently reside and be eligible to work in New Zealand.
