With around 90% of tamariki having Māori heritage, their teaching and learning are deeply grounded in Te Ao Māori. Their philosophy is shaped by the values of Aroha, Ngā Hononga, Manaaki, and Hiringa, which are woven throughout they daily practice and relationships.

Northland Kindergarten Association is seeking applications from qualified, experienced teacherswho have the following attributes:

  • Is committed to supporting and strengthening a Te Ao Māori learning environment for ākonga
  • Builds and maintains authentic, respectful, and professional relationships with tamariki, whānau, and colleagues
  • Is self-motivated, shows initiative, and works collaboratively as part of a team
  • Communicates effectively with all members of the kindergarten community
  • Brings enthusiasm, warmth, and a sense of fun to their teaching practice

Manaia View Kindergarten is part of a network of 25 kindergartens within the NKA. The kindergarten is supported by a professional practice and management team. Northland Kindergarten Association adheres to the employment conditions as offered in the Kindergarten Teacher, Head Teachers,and Senior Teachers Collective Agreement 2023-2026.

Applicants must hold a recognized NZ ECE qualification, current practicing certificate,and first aid certificate.

 All applicants must reside and be elgible to work in New Zealand.
