K2 Head Teacher Mairtown Kindergarten

 

Northland Kindergarten Association (NKA) is seeking an experienced and motivated Head Teacher to lead the team at Mairtown Kindergarten in Whangarei. This position is to commence at the beginning of term one 2020.

 

Mairtown Kindergarten has a team of 5 teachers and a part-time administrator. The kindergarten operates five 6-hour sessions Monday to Friday catering for 40 children between two and six years of age. Mairtown Kindergarten is part of the Enviroschools in the Early Years network and also runs a weekly Nature Programme.

 

Northland Kindergarten Association is seeking applications from qualified, experienced teachers who have the following attributes:-

  • Is able to demonstrate leadership, management and mentoring skills
  • Pedagogical leadership and knowledge
  • Vision and a forward focus
  • Is able to establish authentic professional relationships with children, whānau and colleagues

 

Mairtown kindergarten is part of a network of 22 kindergartens within the NKA. The Kindergarten is supported by a professional practice and management team.

Northland Kindergarten Association adheres to the employment conditions as offered in the Kindergarten Teachers, Head Teachers and Senior Teachers Collective Agreement 2019–2022.

Northland Kindergarten Association (NKA) is seeking an experienced and motivated Head Teacher to lead a talented and dedicated team at Comrie Park Kindergarten in Whangarei.

 

Comrie Park Kindergarten are leaders in sustainable education in Northland. As the first Green Gold Enviroschools Kindergarten north of Auckland, their commitment to sustainable partnerships with community is widely recognized. Comrie Park is currently establishing a Nature Programme.

 

As the Head Teacher you will be part of a welcoming and inclusive culture that is reflective of the attending community. You will enjoy working closely with whānau, and supporting active children who love the outdoors. You will have skills and knowledge to role model sustainability.

Full time K2 Head Teacher, Portland Kindergarten, School Road, Portland.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Head Teacher to be part of an established team of teachers in Portland, Whangarei. This four teacher, all day model kindergarten currently operates Monday to Friday and is licensed for 29, 2 – 6 year olds.

The applicant will be required to demonstrate their experience and knowledge of the Enviroschools Kaupapa and their commitment and understanding of the running of a Nature Programme.

NKA are seeking a Head Teacher who values and utilises teacher’s skills and expertise in both the nature programme and the teaching and learning environment and has experience, understanding and knowledge of all aspects of pedagogical leadership.

 

The successful applicant will also be able to support the current teaching team and community on their journey of weaving their understanding and practice of Te Ao Maori in an early childhood context and setting.
