K2 Head Teacher Dargaville Kindergarten

 

Northland Kindergarten Association (NKA) is seeking an experienced and motivated Head Teacher to lead a committed team of teachers at Dargaville Kindergarten, Hokianga Road, Dargaville in Northland.

 

Dargaville Kindergarten has a team of 5 teachers and a part-time administrator. The kindergarten operates five 6-hour sessions Monday to Friday catering for 40 children between two and six years of age. The children who attend this kindergarten come from the wider northern Kaipara district.

 

Northland Kindergarten Association is seeking applications from qualified, experienced teachers who have the following attributes: –

  • Experience with leadership, management and mentoring skills
  • Pedagogical leadership and knowledge

  • Is able to establish authentic professional relationships with children, whānau and colleagues

Children’s strengths, interest and passions are supported by the teaching team as they scaffold each child’s growing learner identity. Areas that are very important to this kindergarten are nature-based education, play based learning, art as a language for children and supporting children’s social and emotional well-being. RELIEVER TRAINED ECE TEACHERS

Whangarei, Northern Wairoa & Bay of Islands

The Northland Kindergarten Association (NKA) invites qualified teachers with a recognised early childhood qualification, minimum Dip. Tch. (ECE) or recognised equivalent, current registration and current first aid certificate. to register as a casual day to day relief teacher.

 

With seven NKA kindergartens moving to an All Year model where the kindergartens will be open for a minimum of 48 weeks a year, we are seeking additional trained and registered ECE teachers to work as relievers in these kindergartens. This relieving will cover staff on annual/sick leave as well as covering time away for ongoing professional learning.

 

Additional relievers are required specifically to be available in Kaikohe and the Bay of Islands, and in the greater Whangarei area.
