K1 Teacher – Manaia Kindergarten

Northland Kindergarten Association (NKA) is seeking a committed and motivated Teacher to be part of the teaching team at Manaia Kindergarten, Parua Bay, Whangarei.

Manaia Kindergarten is dedicated to sustainable practices and is currently working towards their silver award with the Enviroschools Kaupapa. They have a weekly bush and beach-based nature programme, Hono ki te Taiao. At this kindergarten children are viewed  as powerful, capable, competent, rich contributors to society. Kaiako see their responsibility is to advocate, empower, scaffold, and celebrate childrens’ learning.

Manaia Kindergarten has a staff team of 6 made up of 4 teachers, a lunch cover/nature programme coordinator and an administrator. The kindergarten operates on a 48-week model Monday to Friday catering for 30 children between two and six years of age.

Manaia Kindergarten is part of a network of 25 kindergartens within the NKA. The kindergarten is supported by a professional practice and management team.

Northland Kindergarten Association adheres to the employment conditions as offered in the Kindergarten Teacher, Head Teachers and Senior Teachers Collective Agreement 2019-2022.

Applicants must hold a recognised NZ ECE qualification, current practicing certificate, first aid certificate and provide evidence of full COVID vaccination status.
