We aspire to meet the interests of our local community and our commitment to Te Tiriti O Waitangi by providing a bi-cultural and bi-lingual curriculum with the support of fluent speakers of Te Reo Māori. We are fortunate that all our staff identify as Māori and are committed to supporting this programme.
Our teaching and learning programme is underpinned by the New Zealand Early Childhood Curriculum – Te Whāriki, 2017. Our emergent curriculum is influenced by our children’s interests, dispositions and learning needs. Manaakitanga (Respect) and Kaitiakitanga (Trust) are key teaching strategies.
This supports a holistic overview of teaching, learning and nurturing our young children. This program is complemented by our provision of breakfast, morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea to ensure that our children have the energy to learn and opportunities to develop relationships through sharing meals together/kaitahi.
We offer 30 early childcare education weekly hours for ages 2-5, an open door to welcome you. Come in and enroll your child today.
