Congratulations to you all!

NKA are incredibly proud of the team and community of Comrie Park Kindergarten in the recent achievement of their Green Gold Enviroschools status. Comrie Park are one of just 13 kindergarten’s in New Zealand to have achieved this significant status. NKA Board Chair Grant Harrison stated “this achievement is significant and reflects hard work and a commitment to the sustainability elements included in NKA’s strategic direction.  Learning aligned to environmental value cannot be understated as a new generation of tamariki are growing up more aware of the fragility of their surroundings and how to take care of this.”

On Friday 14 th December Comrie Park community held a Green Gold celebration where Head Teacher Anna spoke on behalf of her team offering their humble thanks for the support from community. Bill Shepherd Chairman of the Northland Regional Council presented the Green Gold certificate and flag and Susan Karels the Regional Councils co-ordinator for the Enviroschools programmes thanked the team and presented them with ‘Green-Gold’ possum traps.

NKA want to acknowledge the leadership of the Comrie Park team and give gratitude to all those who have been instrumental in their sustainable journey.
